Prenatal Consultation: Breastfeeding Foundations
Most moms who struggled with breastfeeding say the same thing: "I wish someone had told me this before baby came."
The Breastfeeding Foundations Consultation is a private, 1:1 session where we build YOUR plan, based on your health history, your goals, and your real concerns (before you're exhausted and overwhelmed). So when baby arrives, you're not starting from zero.
-

Together, we will create a plan that accounts for your health history, your goals, and the specific concerns keeping you up at night.
Know the early warning signs before small issues become real problems
Understand YOUR risk factors for supply challenges — and what to do about them proactively
Create a feeding plan that fits your real life — your schedule, your goals, your family
Get your partner on the same page so you have support at home, not just during the visit
Learn about colostrum collection if that's right for you, we'll discuss what's appropriate for your pregnancy
-
Most families pay $0 out of pocket. Many insurance plans cover lactation consultations in full. We'll verify yours together on your Care Planning Call.
If you're self-pay, the consultation is $150. May be HSA/FSA eligible.
Either way, the first step is a free Care Planning Call where we figure out your coverage and your plan. No surprises.
Families are also responsible for any co-pays, deductibles, or coinsurance required by their insurance plan, which are separate from package fees.
Feeding feels calmer, more comfortable, and far less overwhelming when you have expert breastfeeding support before your baby arrives, and throughout the first months postpartum.
Instead of sorting through conflicting advice online, you’ll have one trusted lactation consultant guiding you with personalized care every step of the way.

-
Before baby arrives: Virtual prenatal consultation. We build your feeding plan, cover your risk factors, and make sure you and your partner know exactly what to expect in the first days.
Visit 1 - First days home: The most important visit. We assess the latch, do a weighted feed to confirm baby is getting milk, and create your care plan for the first week. This is where we catch things early.
Visit 2 - End of week one/early week two: We check weight gain and latch progress, answer everything that came up in the first week, and adjust your plan. Most families feel a significant shift in confidence here.
Visit 3 - Ongoing progress check: Baby is growing and feeding is changing. We make sure your routine is sustainable, address anything new that's come up, and assess whether pumping or bottle introduction is on the horizon.
Visit 4 - Setting you up for the long haul: Pumping, bottle feeding, returning to work, or simply making sure you feel fully confident going forward. We close out with a plan you can carry independently.
Between every visit: Private voice messaging with Kylie from the moment you book through your baby's third month. Because questions don't wait for appointments.
-
Here's how the two pieces work together:
Your lactation visits: the clinical part of every appointment, may already be covered by your insurance. We check this together on your Care Planning Call, and bill your insurance directly when you're eligible.
The package fee: this is separate from insurance. It's what reserves Kylie's travel to your home, holds your four visits on the schedule before baby arrives, and guarantees you have a dedicated expert available during the first three months, not whoever happens to have an opening when you're desperate at day five postpartum.
You don't pay for travel to a waiting room. You don't pack up a newborn. Kylie comes to you.
We'll go over the details of your specific coverage on your free Care Planning Call, including what your insurance covers, what the package fee is, and what (if anything) you'll owe out of pocket.
-
With insurance-covered visits: $500 (Insurance covers the clinical lactation visits. The package fee reserves your in-home visits and support.)
Self-pay: $1,300 (Includes all visits and messaging support, no insurance billing needed.)
Package fee may be HSA/FSA eligible. Any co-pays, deductibles, or coinsurance required by your plan are billed separately.

“She made sure we were set up for success right from the start. My favorite part of working with Kylie was that she never pushed her own opinions. Instead, she educated and supported us in the goals my husband and I had set for our child and our breastfeeding journey.”
