The smoothest breastfeeding journeys start before the baby arrives.

Most moms “just see how breastfeeding goes” and then seek help when they are overwhelmed, with cracked and bleeding nipples. You’re here proactively, and that will make your feeding journey so much better.

Hello, World!

Self-Pay Lactation Packages | Springs Lactation — Kylie Pina, RN, IBCLC
For expectant mamas

The easiest breastfeeding journeys
start before the baby arrives.

Most mamas wait until something goes wrong. You're here before that window closes — and that changes everything about your outcome.

Why prepare prenatally

When I know your story
before your baby arrives,
we start miles ahead.

The mamas who have the smoothest breastfeeding journeys almost always share one thing: they had the right support in place before their baby got here. Not because everything went perfectly — but because when the hard moments came, they weren't starting from scratch at 2am.

When we meet prenatally, I learn your history, understand your goals, and prepare you for what's actually coming. So when you're handed that baby, you already have your person. You already have a plan.

"The question you didn't ask because you felt silly asking it — that's exactly what we're here for."

What we cover together
Your birth and breastfeeding history — including any past difficult journey
What "normal" actually looks like in the first days and weeks
Latch and positioning — hands-on practice before exhaustion sets in
Hand expression and colostrum harvesting
Tongue and lip tie awareness and early identification
How to advocate for yourself in the hospital
Pump fit, flange sizing, and a schedule for your life
Partner prep — what to watch for and how to truly help
Your personalized feeding plan, ready before baby arrives
If your last journey didn't go the way you hoped

Your previous experience
is not a prediction.
It's information.

You know things first-time mamas don't know yet. You know what it feels like when it's not working. Your previous journey is clinical information I use to prepare you specifically for this time. Your grief is welcome here. I have walked this road with many mamas whose previous journeys were harder than yours. It can be different.

Questions

Things mamas ask.

When should I book my prenatal visit?
Anytime in your second or third trimester — between 28 and 36 weeks is the sweet spot. Early enough to prepare, close enough that everything is fresh when your baby arrives.
Can I use my insurance for these packages?
I currently accept Health First Colorado and CIGNA through Wildflower. For all other plans, you'll self-pay and I'll provide a detailed superbill you can submit for reimbursement. Many plans cover IBCLC visits at 100% under the ACA — it's worth a call to your insurer.
Are visits in-person or virtual?
Both. Prenatal visits work beautifully in my cozy West Side office or virtually. Postpartum visits are available in-office or virtual for families anywhere in Colorado via our HIPAA-compliant platform.
What if I had a really hard previous breastfeeding experience?
That experience is welcome here — and it's clinical information I use to prepare you specifically this time. Many of the mamas I work with have been exactly where you are. It can be different.
For new mamas

You have been
trying so hard.
Let's fix this together.

You are not doing anything wrong. You just haven't had the right support yet. That changes today.

You deserve real support

You saw someone.
You Googled everything.
And you're still here.

You're nursing through pain. You're counting diapers. You're watching your baby and trusting that something isn't right — even when everyone around you says it looks fine. You are not failing. You are navigating a whole-body challenge with support that was never designed to see all of it.

When we work together, I assess latch, supply, positioning, oral function, and weight gain — all at once, all in context. You stop retelling your story to five different providers. You get one expert who sees all of it, and a real plan for fixing it.

"I live to see the worry melt away. My role is to support whatever decision you make and help you feel great about feeding your baby."

Questions

Things mamas ask.

How soon can I be seen?
Package clients receive priority scheduling and are typically seen within 24–48 hours. If you're in a crisis — significant pain, weight gain concerns, a baby who won't latch — reach out directly and I'll do everything I can to see you same day or next day.
Can I use my insurance?
I currently accept Health First Colorado and CIGNA through Wildflower. For all other plans, you self-pay and I provide a detailed superbill for reimbursement. Many plans cover IBCLC visits at 100% under the ACA — worth a quick call to your insurer.
Do I come to your office or do you come to me?
I see families in my private, comfortable West Side office. Virtual visits are also available via HIPAA-compliant video for families anywhere in Colorado — they're full clinical appointments, not just phone calls, and they work well for most concerns.
My baby is 3 months old. Is it too late?
Never. I work with mamas at every stage — from the first days through weaning. If breastfeeding isn't working the way you want it to, that's reason enough to reach out today.
What if I want to combination feed or I'm thinking about stopping?
You are in exactly the right place. I support whatever feeding decision is right for your family — combination feeding, pumping only, or stopping — without judgment. My role is to help you feel informed, supported, and confident in whatever you decide.

We believe every mama deserves to feel great about how she feeds her baby.

That the question you didn't ask because you felt silly — that's exactly what we're here for.
That breastfeeding is not all or nothing. Every step of the journey counts.
That preparation is the most powerful intervention we have.
That the worry you're feeling right now is proof that you already love this baby more than you can say.
That your feeding decision — whatever it is — deserves support, not scrutiny.
